Without exploring the implications of content, facts, or data, true understanding cannot be achieved. Information that is merely memorized remains superficial and lacks meaningful depth. To foster genuine cognitive learning, students should be encouraged to explore the various methods available for gathering and analyzing information. This approach not only deepens comprehension but also cultivates critical thinking and lifelong learning skills.

Throughout the course so far, I have come to understand the importance of asking questions such as "Why?", "What if?", and "What then?" in the learning process. These types of questions encourage critical thinking, deepen comprehension, and help students connect theoretical knowledge to practical applications.

Throughout the course so far, I have learned that hands-on learning is often the most effective approach for students, particularly in trade-related courses. Engaging directly with tools, materials, and real-world scenarios enhances understanding and skill development in ways that online learning may not fully replicate.

Comment on Amanda Sturm's post: Throughout the course so far, I have learned that hands-on learning tends to be more effective than online learning. Engaging directly with materials and activities helps to reinforce concepts and improve understanding. I have also come to understand that each student has unique learning habits—what works well for one may not work for another. Finally, I’ve observed that students can become frustrated when they know the answer but must wait for others to respond, which can affect the overall learning experience in group settings.
