Student success in an online learning environment can be difficult without good communication. You don't have the same environment where students can ask questions on break or clarify material after class. Establishing communication early is imperitive to their success. 

Knowing students' laerning styles can go a long way towards helping them be successful in the classroom be it online or in person. 

Providing students with a little information about yourself and your expectations of them for the duration of your course can go a long way to making sure you students are comfortable and understanding of what is going to take place. Hearing about your students and getting a little of their own bio is pretty cool and can help you navigate working with that student in the future.

Being able to navigate the course properly and having an understanding of how online platforms work is going to ensure you are better able to help you students. 

Everyone learns differently and you need to accomadate to those difference to ensure student success.

Personalization and getting to know students benefits both you and them. It will make you more appraochable and enable you to get to know your students better to better help them later. 

Preperation is key and will benefit you in so many ways.

Model professionalism and ensure that you are always ready to go, but bring originality and enthusiasm each time you teach.
