About me

Activity

I have learned that discipline, judgments, critical thinking, logic, common sense, and problem solving is very important to students. I totally agree that critical thinking is self directed, self discplined, self monitored, self corrective thiking. I also agree that judgment is developed thorugh extensive experience.

I agree on a part it says, "A good way to define the problem is to write down a concise statement that summarizes the problem, and then write down where you want to be after the problem has been solved."
I totally agree that Reflective Thinking is a process to help critical thinkers to overcome that trap and come up with the viable workable solutions.
Discipline, common sense, dedication, effort, contrast, time management, and judgment are very important as students grow in different aspects of their lives.
I think it is very important because you have be very clear and precise with students in order for them to comprehend the material that you're displaying and understanding.
I find that when I come into the class with a positive attitude the studens are better relaxed. There is no tension. they absorb the daily lesson much easier. They retain more information.
I praise many of my studens for doing a good job when their tasks are completed. They feel more confident when their mentor recognizes their accomlishments. The student then feels good.I think that not enough instructors pass on good or great news.
On day one of the course. I tell my students. we all have problems and things going on in ourlives. "if they have a personal thing going on with them and they can not focus. Then I am gladly available for them".I try to help them with and open understanding. Making them more relaxed. We converse and they are very respondant. They are more than ready to go on with their daily tasks. Sometimes they just need to readjust themselves.

Taking courses 101 thru 111 has helped me teaching in the classroom.  I approach each course differently. I don't feel so overwhelmed.

I think that having question and answer games , get more students involved. They seem to remember the material better. It pulls out the shy/insecure ones. This seems to balance the class more. They have their own discussions. Which many times make more sense to them.
