I have learned that it is essential to determine the students needs in order for them to be successful in the classroom.

Students need to take ownership in their learning. Some students are visual learners while others are hands on learners.

I had never heard of SWOT so it was interesting to be introduced to that teaching strategy method.

Sometimes as a facilitator I seem to view failure as a negative thing, but after this module I see that failure is actually not an all-bad thing that can actually be incorporated into the overall design of the lesson.

Being sure that the students are engaged is essential.

Online learning is known as anywhere, anytime learning, which can be beneficial to students regardless of what technology is available to them. According to the module, 94% of students prefer using their cellphones vs a computer to complete work, which makes remote learning even more convenient for students. Online learning can also be beneficial for teachers, as it is a way of offering feedback instantly and gives more accessibility to tutoring.

Remote learning must be accessible to students to work at their own pace, for this reason, the flipped classroom module is beneficial in a remote classroom setting.

Communication is essential with students, and when applicable, communication "loops" with student's family members can help encourage students that may be struggling adapting to remote learning.

Currently all of my remote learning/teaching styles have been directed in a asynchronous approach. This module has helped me to better understand the difference in asynchronous vs synchronous. Also, I was surprised to read how beneficial the "figure it out complex" can be and how less is actually more in that of challenging a student to take ownership of their learning to promote personal growth.
