I agree with you! I took a lot away with me as well after going through the ED 106 forum. It had some very insightful pointers about disabled students, and ways that we can help to keep them motivated in order to be successful!

Hi Charles,

One thing that I do to reiterrate continuous feed back is by having the students put their answers on the board each week. I tell them I do not care who put what up on the board, or that the answers may be incorrect. Next, we go over each answer as a class to verify if it is right or wrong. If it is wrong, we all look it up together as a class to see how we would find the correct answer. Last, I ask everyone in the class if there is any answer that was up on the… >>>

I really enjoyed this course. It made me realize somethings I was doing well, and other areas that I could improve in. I agree with you all that students need to know on the first day what our expectations are. I go over the syllabus, and enunciate what is really important for them to know. The second time I meet with them, I may ask the class as a whole specific questions regarding the syllabus to ensure they really did hear and understand what is expected.

I really enjoyed this teaching tutorial! I was able to learn a few new methods of drawing students attention back to the tasks at hand.

I just completed ED104, and wish I would have had this information 2 years ago when I first began teaching! This session did reinforce much of what I have learned in the classroom through trial and error.

I totally agree with you Lisa! It is definitely a challenge being a new instructor. Having these activities is a great way to enforce what we have already learned through trial and error. I wish that I had this training when I first began teaching two years ago! I also find that your students really do appreciate when we laugh at our own mistakes. Learning their names also is a must!
