I learned how to apply FERPA in real situations by being mindful of awareness to protect privacy and how I share information.

Information may be released only with the student’s permission and when it is necessary for an appropriate, authorized purpose.

I learned that FERPA protects the privacy of student education records and I will apply it by handling all student information carefully.

I learned that prevention and education efforts under Title IX and VAWA focus on a campus that prioritizes awareness, respectful behavior, and early intervention first. I plan to apply this by promoting open conversations that help students understand their roles in keeping a safe environment.

I've learned that Title IX investigations must be prompt, impartial, and based on review of all relevant evidence to ensure fairness for everyone involved in the situation. I plan to apply this by supporting the rights of all parties and promote a safe, transparent campus environment.

I learned that Title IX and VAWA are about preventing sexual misconduct and making sure people are treated fairly and most importantly, supported. I'll be applying this by helping create a respectful environment, speaking up and reporting concerns as they happen.
