Evaluations need to happen frequently and provide the interns an evaluation to ensure they can meet the goals that are lacking perfection and they may improve.  Don't wait until time crunches, and they will become frustrated and have low confidence.

Developing professional behaviors is very important and will assist the intern in acquiring needed opportunities.

   Good to mention that there is etiquette to engaging in feedback with interns during evaluations.

This should be a building time for the employer and intern/employee to establish trust and respect.  Address the expectations for ER/EE with expected outcomes.  It could very well be a great opportunity for the student to begin a career path when the ER can approve recognized contributions that are mutual and that the student is a good fit for the company or establishment.

Internships are a great way for students to begin their network and to learn more about the company's success records.  Students have been given the opportunity to make decisions about their career goals.  

Safety guidelines are to be adhered to.  It would be a good idea for the instructor to reinforce safety precautions often.

Instructors are to reinforce to students the importance of adhering to following the rubric.  I've noticed often students don't look at the rubric or only use the parts they are willing to address in assignments.  When they get low scores, they are angry.

The rubric is a great tool for assessing knowledge students can apply to real-life experiences.

Assess the lab in enough time to ensure all of the necessary equipment is available.  May need to form groups that use the same learning style.
