Colleen Meegan

My name is Colleen Meegan and I am the Director of Allied Health at Palm Beach Academy of Health & Beauty. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Purdue University, a Master's in Science in Education (MSEd) from Indiana University, and a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Indiana State University. I started my doctorate in neurosciece at Purdue University, where I actually took the first two years of medical school, and my 2nd year there I was a Teaching Assistant in the gross & neuroanatomy labs. I was recruited at that point to University of Florida where I was finishing my doctorate by doing research on severe traumatic traumatic brain injury (TBI) when Mr Bush decided to pull my funding and send troops to Afghanistan to look for weapons of mass destruction. Needless to say, more troops came back with severe TBI, but I could not help them. I was "all but dissertation" in my PhD.
