Implementing General Strategies for Student Retention is important because it helps students to succeed in the classroom and in the field.

I learned that when delivering a lecture, you must be prepared which will allow you to be creative, competent and personable.  

I learned motivating students can be done by letting them know what the expectations are including where they are going and how they will get there.

proper planning and perpetration are important for the student and teacher giving them both a road map for objectives to be accomplished.   

I've learned that professionalism is an important aspect of the classroom and must be developed and improved as needed to insure the respect of the students. Showing professionalism will reflect on the students and how they act in the classroom and in the field.
