My wife and I relax by going hiking (when its not too hot) here in Arizona and we became members of the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. Relaxing to check out the exhibits as they change and there is wildlife all over the site including roadrunners, quail, squirrels and they even have cacti. Also a good place to just sit and people-watch.
