Christina, Did you know that 70 percent of borrowers who default on their student loans withdraw from school before completing their education? Often times these students are not completing exit counseling, so entrance counseling may be your only chance to deliver important information they need to help them successfully repay their loans.
Discussion Comment
Christina, This is the best approach.

Edna, Audits can be very stressful when an institution is not prepared or as failed to maintain a level of compliance. Internal audits should be viewed as an opportunity to become a stronger institution.
Christina, I would encourage you to review the posts from the admissions and administration department employees.

Sandra, It is a good practice to check the catalog regularly to insure that all of the necessary complaint policies are included and that there have been no changes.
Maureen, You are right, the list seems endless.

Cory, The celebration combined with the exit is a nice touch.

Erin, The catalog is a great training tool. You could create quizzes from the catalog for faculty inservices. We held an inservice and played catalog jeopardy and everyone had such a great time. It was interesting to see how much the faculty did and didn't know.
Morgan, Students now have the opportunity to view institutional costs on their web site. It is important the student is able to identify the factors that drive the overall program cost. These factors could be length of program, books, uniforms included/not included, etc.
Discussion Comment
Morgan, Reminders are helpful, especially when the student is frustrated and not sure which way to turn.
