Linda, Externships are a valuable phasse of education since this is where the learned skills are applied. You bring up that the required hours can change. I used to ask my admissions team this question...If I told you tomorrow that you would have to double your work hours for the next 6 weeks would you be able to do it? With the demands of transportation, childcare, jobs and family obligations it is vital that our students have time to plan their lives in advance.

Jo Ann, An excellent example of sensationalism was the well known GAO report (August 2010) called For-Profit Colleges for which it sent undercover applicants to 15 for-profit colleges across the United States to document deceptive and questionable marketing practices in the schools' recruitment processes. In November 2010, the GAO released an updated report with significant changes. This was not well publicized.

kamaar, I would not put too much value on an inforamtional website that is open to anyone. While one person may post negative information on Yelp! another person could be posting positive information on another website.

Jo Ann, Qualitative interviews coupled with entrance requirements are very useful in determining whether or not a student is qualified to enter an institution.
