Laurie, You are right - the size of the college does not supercede that some duties must remain separate.
Kala, Great observation - seperation of duties was designed to protect the college and ultimately the student's welfare.
Marci, Has this course helped you to understand the regulatory environment that you work in?
Rebecca, I couldn't have said it better.
Donna, Change is always difficult in the beginning but in hindsight we understand why it is necessary.
Tiffany, I think we forget that the enrollment agreement is a legal binding contract. This contract must be complete and accurate or the student may have the right to claim it as invalid.
Sabrina, If a college follows the guidelines set forth they will be able to give the student the confidence that they will be around for a long time.
Patricia, Excellent. I have used that same practice - not only in Admissions but in Career Services. That way everyone knew when someone was about to embark on a life changing event and when a student had accomplished their goal by becoming employeed.
Susie, This is a best practice. I had someone share with me that every pay day their Director handed them their pay check and said thanked them for their hard work. This made her day. We all know that we need to work hard but a simple thanks makes it worthwhile.
Byron, An all company email is a great way of spreading the word when a job has been well done.
