Joe, It is important that students are prepared for an actual business environment. To ensure business is conducted honestly and with integrity, most companies have a code of ethics. Employees are generally required to participate in ethics training on a regular basis, and model and promote ethical behavior.

Jessica, How do the start and end dates impact your daily operations? What is the importance of having these dates reflected correctly on student documents?

Dr. Richard, This is good way to have a handy reference. I always encourage everyone to check for policy changes frequently in the catalogs, intranet, etc.

Alicia, The business office always seems to be the area that everyone gravitates toward for answers. It is good that you are available to your students.

Philip, This is a good example; students come to your institution to help assist them with their career choices, even after they have made their choice they are subject to changing their minds. Changing majors is very common in any undergrad college.
Kendall, Excellent. Another area is that Admissions and Financial Aid must be addressed seperately to avoid a conflictt of interest in regard to enrollments vs. funding.
Jessica, Many institutions promote "Bring a friend or family day." These were always a lot of fun on my campus.

Thanks Julie, I hope it helps.

Stacie, It would be interesting to know how many solid institutions had to deal with student issues based on the media's coverage over the last year.

Mary, SOmetimes I compare a student issue to a smoldering fire. The longer it sits and smolders the higher the flame once it is given air. Addressing the issue immediately has a huge impact on the the students perspective of the campus.
