Kimberly, Great question. I would start with having a conversation with a member of the admissions team. They have the most phone contact with prospective students and should be able to explain the policy. Cindy Bryant

Tonya, You have provided a plausible analogy. Recently, several legislators announced that they will launch a study of student indebtedness to determine whether or not the regulations allow funds to be too easily granted. If this is proven to be true we could see regulatory changes that alters the way loans are handled and approved. We are already seeing additional focus on student loans with the President's request for modifications to the interest rate in an effort to protect the students in a tough economy. Cindy Bryant
Lisa, Showing how much you care may be the single-most important motivational strategy. :) Cindy Bryant

Sarah, Your school is following all of the necessary guidelines to remain in compliance. The area that is often missed is documenting exit interviews that are mailed to students who fail to attend the actual meeting. Keep up the wonderful work. Cindy Bryant

Christopher, You raise a valid point. The media attention has not only effected the learning institutions way of doing business but it has also impacted the regulatory agencies. The regulatory bodies, whether it is accrediting or licensing, has been forced to prove that their stamp of approval equates to quality. Recently I attended an accrediting conference and they were very clear, even though they were never lax, they have a heightened sense of awareness while conducting visits. Cindy Bryant
Kay, You have defined your institutions policies and procedures very well. It sounds as if your school is meeting all the necessary criteria to maintain the integrity of admittance. Cindy Bryant
Meagan, By sharing your experiences as an instructor you are indirectly motivating your students and building a level of trust. Great Job! Cindy Bryant

Dr. Makia, For many years i made the mistake of 'loading' down new employees with information. People tend to be able to perform better when the information is layered as they progress through their career. Once I realized this I started putting together training plans spanning a period of time that built a strong foundation. This resulted in stronger knowledge of the policies and procedures and improved employee retention. Cindy Bryant

Karen, Having conduced exits at several different intervals I have found that making the exit interview a prerequisite to externship is highly effective. In addition to gathering the necessary FA documents it is a good time to ensure that Career Services has everything that they need to assist the student in finding a job. Cindy Bryant

Brian, Many times students fail to understand the details given them at enrollment. This can lead to confusion or failure to follow procedures resulting in failure. Once this happens the student may feel compelled to vent their frustrations to other students. This can create havoc on a campus. Cindy Bryant
