Ron, I think it is wonderful that instructional staff are involved in this process. This reduces the risk that materials will not be available. Cindy Bryant
Sherry, Respecting individuals is crucial to retaining employees. If a person feels devalued, you are right, their morale will suffer and this will translate into the classroom. Cindy Bryant

Bridgett, The annual graduation meeting is a great idea as long as Schools conduct this counseling shortly before the student graduates or drops below half-time enrollment this translates or no later than 30 days from the last date of attendance. Cindy Bryant

Anne, Thank you for participating in the forum discussions. You mentioned that you have 'lifetime placement assistance' and I have always been confused by this term. Does this mean during the student's lifetime or the institution's lifetime? What if the institution ceases to exist and the student needs assistance? Does the student have legal recourse? Just food for thought. Cindy Bryant

Samay, Yes, exit interviews must be conducted regardless of the reason that a student leaves the school. Cindy Bryant
Ellen, Great advice, you are right if a person is agitated they will resort to any means possible to resolve their issue. Cindy Bryant

Andrew, Admissions scripts are a valuable tool that will keep everyone on track. This doesn't circumvent the student's questions and the representative must prepared to respond spontaneously. Cindy Bryant

Don, I am not sure that it would be perceived as unethical but it would be unjust tot he other students. Cindy Bryant

Wesley, Thank you for your support of this approach. Exit interviews are necessary in order for the students to review and understand their rights and responsibilities. Colleges must attempt to reach the majority of the students to impact their own cohort default rates. Cindy Bryant
