LaShante, Allowing the candidate (student) to take the lead in an interview is an excellent approach. As an interviewer I always learned more about a candidate by allowing them to expand on their responses. Cindy Bryant

Rhonda, One way to encourage new employees to ask questions is through providing them with a mentor who can support them during their orientation phase and further. Cindy Bryant
Traci, That's wonderful. It sounds like they have all bases covered. Cindy Bryant
Daniel, The adjective is the key here. Are the regulations reasonable? Cindy Bryant
Louis, Contacting parents is a slippery slope to begin with. I would strongly encourage you to consult your internal policy. The first order of business is to ensure that you have the student's permission to contact the student. Since the contract is with the student and not the parent, without expressed consent, I believe that the Do Not Call status would stand. Cindy Bryant
Daniel, You are definitely on track. Offering compensation for referrals is not only prohibited but actually degrades the foundation of educational principals. Cindy Bryant

Jay-thank you so much for your comment I will pass it along to the author. I am so excited that you found it beneficial.

Kristen, It is great to hear that your school takes a pro-active stance on addressing complaints. Cindy Bryant
Nikki, The career school sector has long since been a target for litigious activities. Training employees to operate with in the guidelines is a critical element in reducing the risk factors. Cindy Bryant
