When conducting employee evaluations we all understand how important it is that the employee be given clear and consistent feedback. When creating the evaluation system there are several elements that may apply, such as; performance, professional skills, follows policies and procedures, education, customer service and maybe student evaluations. In reviewing these key elements you must consider how the employee approached each one. Some organizations have decided to evaluate the employee in an area dedicated to supporting the mission and values of the organization. I see this category as an opportunity to discuss areas of ethical or unethical behavior.
