Steven, Thank you for joining the forum. The chain of command is important to avoid confusion when trying to resolve a student's complaint. If the student follows the protocol many times the complaint is resolved at the first level. Cindy Bryant
David, It is always a good practice to have a point person when ordering supplies. Do you know how your Business Officer determines how many books are needed and when? Cindy Bryant
Terri, Hi! I am impressed with the information that you provide your students. This allows them all the information at their fingertips. Cindy Bryant
April, Thank you for joining the forum. As a new employee you are definitely on the right track. AS you move through the course challenge yourself to learn as much as you can for each subject matter. Cindy Bryant
Elizabeth, Welcome to the forum. The Do-Not-Call process may be very simple. Finding out more about this process will afford you an opportunity to learn more about your admissions process. Cindy Bryant
Patricia, This is a great question. Every school has an emergency plan in place for their school in regard to natural disasters but I have never seen a plan for the delivery of materials. I would also welcome any ideas from the forum participants regarding delayed materials due to a natural disaster. Cindy Bryant

Kendy, Hi. I agree that social media is a great alternate approach to the traditional communication. The only downside I see is the lack of oversight of social media sites. If there is not a check and balance in place then there is an opportunity for the information to be skewed or misrepresented. Cindy Bryant

Amber, Thanks for sharing. The Penn State situation is a prime example of how information can be misconstrued. Should an issue within an institution's athletic department reflect the state of academics? Could administrative oversight be questioned, certainly, if the president or chancellor is seen as unfit then an investigation could be launched to determine the facts. "Fact" is the key phrase.
