Martha, We all know that a role model is a person who inspires and encourages us to strive for greatness, live to our fullest potential and see the best in ourselves. A role model is someone we admire and someone we aspire to be like. We learn through them, through their commitment to excellence and through their ability to make us realize our own personal growth. We look to them for advice and guidance. This is explains exactly why teachers need to continue to be role models. Cindy Bryant

Dwyla, Moral awareness is a new term for me. It is a great term and a philosphy that many people live by. Cindy Bryant
Helena, It is true that everyone loves to have their accomplishments acknowledged but each generation is different. For example Gen Z is anticipated to be highly entrepreneurial - that means employers will need to emphasize other factors, such as training and development opportunities, over a paycheck in order to attract and retain this new cohort of workers. At the end of the day every person requires a different motivational strategy. Cindy Bryant

Nareiko, It is true that career colleges are highly competitive and are constantly seeking ways to set themselves ahead of the rest. Sometimes it is programs, curriculum, technology, facilities, and/or faculty - all of these can be advertised in the media as long as they are represented clearly and accurately. Cindy Bryant
Le'Anne, Thank you for sharing your opinion with the forum. It is true that students have become more vocal and inquisitive than they have been in the past. Students don't seem to settle for just any answer they tend to research until they feel confident with the information they have received. Cindy Bryant

Steven, You have made an excellent observation-I can see how easy it would be for someone to assume that the state was endorsing a school or college especially if the school or college was recruiting within the state's facility. Cindy Bryant

Alison, Another way for a new employee to avoid misrepresentation is to be assigned a mentor who has been with the college for some time and can assist the new employee for the first few months. Cindy Bryant
Tiana, Do-Not-Call does not pertain to the Instructor/Student relationship at all. Your student has entered into a business relationship with your college which entitles you to contact your students regarding any school related issue. Cindy Bryant
Tyler, Retention may increase through a colleges care about the student on personal and academic level however, this doesn't overcome the many obstacles that students are faced with on daily basis. But the only way to fight the attrition battle is with one student at a time. Cindy Bryant
