Stephanie, Everyone should be involved in Default processes in one way or another. As an Admissions rep you can do your part by ensuring that the student understands all of the program and institutional information. I am sure you could learn more about your schools exits by visiting with a financial aid officer on your campus. Cindy Bryant

Melissa, Many people who are accepting public assistance are motivated by hope. Hope is important because it helps us feel alive. The down side is that some people who are plagued by bad experiences sometimes make poor choices and regret those choices later. This only perpetuates the bad experiences and keeps the cycle turning. Students must be ready to take on the challenge of education and reach their goal. Cindy Bryant

Roberta, You raise an excellent point for everyone to think about. Misrepresentation occurs at all levels. The classroom is no exception. Instructors should be encouraged to follow the syllabus and lesson plans as written. Varying from these documents could be construed as misrepresentation. Cindy Bryant

Jeffrey, Your point is well taken. People who are older and have experienced life in the work world react differently if they are not receiving excellent customer service. They have a higher expectations because of their viewpoint. Cindy Bryant

Ann, Thank you so much for your contribution to the forum. You raise an excellent point that you would not exist without the college AND the college would not exist without the students. :) Cindy Bryant

Veronica, Hi! I love the direction that you are going in. The catalog, student and policy handbook should always be the main source of information. If a new employee is unable to find an answer in their reading materials then they should always consult a person of higher authority. Unfortunately, asking a peer could perpetuate bad information.
