Jon, Great advice! Knowing the information comes from training and tenure. If in the event a faculty or staff member delivers incorrect information it is important to correct as soon as possible. Cindy Bryant
Tami, Absolutely! Happy students are definitely more prone to refer their friends and family. Cindy Bryant

Toni, Thank you for your interest in the forum. Agreed, media can have a strong effect on our views across the board. But schools actions speak much louder than the media's words in the long run. The general population understand that they will need an education to move forward in their career ventures and will always turn to the school that will best fill this need. Cindy Bryant

Ruben, The catalog is an excellent way to review program materials. Course descriptions can set the students expectations by providing them with an overview of the courses. It is very important that faculty members familiarize themselves with the information provided in the catalog to ensure that they are meeting the students expectations. Cindy Bryant

Aaron, Keeping up with policy changes can be challenging but it is absolutely necessary to be able to inform your students accurately. I completely agree with you that you should no ever make anything up. Cindy Bryant

Virginia, Having a specific protocol in place is the first step to resolving student complaints. A complaint policy shows the students that you recognize that problems or concerns may arise but you have a method to resolve them. If at all possible it is best to resolve the the issue at the instructor/student level. Many times students would just like to be heard. Cindy Bryant
Audrey, Welcome! This is good advice, Pennsylvania has taken the approach to ensure ethical behavior through regulations. Dependent upon your state or accrediting body a tour may be required, I would encourage you to review the regulations for Pennsylvania to better understand their rules and regulations. Cindy Bryant
Darin, Thanks for joining the forum. Dependent upon your position within the school you may or may not be held accountable for student contacts. If you are an instructor, student adviser or business office staff member you have the right to contact the students due to the fact that you have a contract with them in the form of an enrollment agreement. Cindy Bryant
Sean, Hi! Does CampusVue seem to be an effective way to manage those prospective's that do not want to be contacted? Cindy Bryant
Amy, The instructor is a critical variable in student retention. Retention begins in admissions through matching the student with the right program. Once that has been accomplished the instructor is responsible to keep the students interest in the subject matter. Students spend more time with their instructors than any other person on campus.
