Susan, Hi! Welcome to the forum. I would like to echo that listening to the student adds value to the students self-worth. Too many times a student will bring up an issue and the staff or faculty fail to listen for fear of being placed in the center of controversy. By listening to the student you may be curtailing a students need to vent to other students which may perpetuate discord among other students. Your advice is well taken. Cindy Bryant

Laura, Hi! You mentioned that every school has it's own "personality" and I find that to be true even in corporate schools that operate under the same programs, policies and procedures. A school takes on the personality of its faculty, staff and students. Cindy Bryant

Stacy, Hi! Many times we see the media as a megaphone to negativity and at times I agree. However, we have to ask ourselves this question, why do we [society] give the negativity credibility by subscribing to the negativity. Are we equally at fault? Cindy Bryant
