Larry, Hi! Welcome to the forum. Many schools have added "Mystery Shoppers" to their training initiatives. Mystery Shopping can be highly effective provided it is monitored closely. What I mean is that it must be monitored on both sides, shopper and school representative. Thank you for sharing your practices to avoid misrepresentation.
Rachel, Yes, the school has an established a relationship with the student through the terms of the enrollment agreement which allows the school to contact the student as needed. Cindy Bryant

Cedric, Interesting question about "checking the checker" you wouldn't think that the media has fact checkers but they do. The real issue with the media is societies need to hear information immediatley-which drives the media to report a story prematurely to get the scoop. Cindy Bryant

Bethanie, You mentioned that an ethical practice for you are creating proper checks and balances. I found it interesting that you would list it as an ethical practice but as I reflected upon your response that creating an environment that discourages unethical practices is indeed an ethical practice. Heather, Hi! I am sure that students provide information voluntarily. It would be unnerving if providing the information was contingent upon being admitted to school. Cindy Bryant
