I also found this course to be helpful in suggesting different ways to offer course instructions.  I will definitely use them in the future.

I think I am well equipped to start remembering the names of my students because I used to be a waiter in an earlier profession.  This experience makes it easier for me to recall students' names and use them to engage them in the lecture and/or other material.  It also helps when using their names as early as possible in the early stages of the term to get them to acknowledge that I not only know their names but also that I am willing (and able) to use their names to kick start a conversation in class.
