It is very important to be familiar with the policies of you campus and not that of a competitor school. As students compare schools they can sometimes get confused and we want to be certain to share the correct information about our school.

Since different people can see different ads and interpret them differently it is very important to view each ad to know what is being seeing and understand it.

Since changes come out often, it is always important to fully read all updated agreements. Although, they may look the same the wording can change slightly each time.

I agree with the fact that the person doing the interview should make the first impression to make the candidate comfortable. When we don’t allow them to feel relaxed it could only be a small piece of the real candidate we see or a nervous person that is on the spot. Using common interest and giving a comfortable environment will help in seeing the true candidate and allow them to answer honestly and comfortably.

The resource notebook is a great item to have we use it all the time. It helps to not only keep everyone in the loop on upcoming events, policies and planning but it makes it easy to find and access in a moments notice.

What do you do when a student asks if they will qualify for financial aid and if so how much they can receive?

Is it best to offer the student ride share possibilities after they have exasperated their own personal options for transportation?
