Consider the purpose behind the questions you pose. Do you aim for memorization? Are you seeking critical thinking? Is your goal mastery of concepts? Or do you want a grasp of processes? Each of these considerations should shape how you frame your questions, whether in class or in formal assessments.

Creating questions derived from course material and delivering them in an engaging manner can inspire students and foster critical thinking. Thoughtfully designed questions steer students towards finding the answers independently.

I support rewarding students for their hard work; however, if some individuals regularly arrive late to class, it is counterproductive to continue rewarding them. While some situations may be out of one's control, it is essential to remind students that they are preparing for their future careers, where effective time management is crucial for job retention hired.

Enthusiastic empathy with a touch of creativity. Get the learner to buy into what is being taught and then continually nurture the enthusiasm. This is very good advice.

I have learned these interventions multiple times at times when I know I need to reapply them to my routine. They are too easy to set aside and forget about. Sleep, Nutrition, Exercise, and Meditation can be helpful when one remembers to care for themself.

That module helped me feel like I am on track for the interactions I am experiencing in class. Probing, redirection, and praise are standard during my lectures. This module also reminded me that it's not always about getting the correct answer when questioning the students. It is about getting them engaged and working together.

I've learned that rubrics are essential for measuring effective communication online, prioritizing quality over quantity. I will create detailed rubrics aligned with learning outcomes, emphasizing relevance, justification, and netiquette. Sharing these rubrics in advance will set clear expectations, and I will use them to provide constructive feedback and promote self-reflection. I'm interested in others' experiences with effective rubric criteria and ensuring alignment with learning objectives.

I've learned that helping students communicate effectively online requires clear expectations, skill-building activities, and proactive support. I'll focus on modeling effective communication, providing technology guidance, and addressing challenges such as misinterpretations or silence. Understanding generational communication differences is also key. I'm interested in hearing about the specific tools or strategies that others have found most effective in fostering positive online communication.

I've learned that clear communication guidelines, such as a Code of Conduct, are essential for a respectful online class. I'll focus on proactive management, setting expectations, and modeling good behavior. I'll utilize tools like FAQs to ensure that academic honesty is clearly understood. What are your top tips for creating an effective FAQ section?

Hi everyone,

I learned the importance of selecting tech tools that align with communication goals. I'll focus on clear guidelines, varied methods (such as email and meetings), and evaluating the effectiveness of the evaluation tool. I plan to use social media professionally and teach my students to do the same.

What tools have you found most helpful?
