I found out that the best form to communicate in an online setting is through email, and instructors should try to help the students to not feel alienated or overwhelmed with online work.

In this module I learned that asynchronous discussions are more helpful generally than synchronous because of differences in learners daily lives i.e, schedule, time zone. Students will be more engaged and be able to maintain with these types of discussions.

In this module I learned how to project yourself in the online format is to create a short biography of yourself, and also learn more about your students. If you do these things it helps to develop that relationship of trust with the student just like you would in the classroom.

This module taught me that course delivery is important, and you need to know how to approach it in a way that is effective for the students. I also learned every instructor has their own way to teach the material, but it is important to be able to provide support to the students and adapt.

Practice before class and make sure you are able to vary your teaching methods,

It is important to create an inviting environment, and let the students feel safe, and welcomed. You don't want to overwhelm the students and want them to have clear objectives so that they understand what is expected.

I think having a checklist to make sure that I am ready for the class will work best for me.

It is important to know that you can always grow and learn no matter where you start at as an instructor. I will make sure to not only dress the part, but strive for alternate aids to assist my growth and development to gro as an instructor.
