Finding the balance between what is required and caring for the needs of the student.

This is a difficult topic due to how everyone's perspective can be different in any situations. This was great information about hadling conflict, or letting it go; depending on the situation. Another great class.

 

I enjoyed this course; great and relivant information.

 

Title IX is all about creating a safe environment for the students so they can focus on learning, verses feeling unsafe in their learning environment. This also makes it clear what they can do and who they can report the incident to, if their rights under this act have been violated, I love how it's open for them to speak with numerous people, so they'll be more likely to come forward, since they might have the choice of a staff member they are comfortable speaking to about the situation.

 

In a business class I attended, the Instructor shared a statement that was very true, and even though I realized I to do this, had never thought of it in it's simplicity; "you are competing with not only your competitors but the customer's previous experiences". Having transparency and strong values, helps to jump both of the hurtles in that statement. We tend to build a wall of protection from past negative experiences; companies, schools, teachers (even from their experience in public schools), etc. that had been deceiving or misleading. Having true transparency helps to lower that wall and build trust… >>>
