Negativity will happen but how do you combat it? You have to accept it first but keep moving forward.

Cultivating a good experience for student can make a difference in a letter grade knowing that there is support behind that student.

I look at it from a sport aspect.  For example, the by product of any team is to win not the goal.  We need to reach our goals of how we work and meeting those expectations, if we meet those expectations, we will be able to have a buy product of winning.

In my past experiences as a coach, these values ring true and need to fit these strategies in a case by case approach.  Each student will need their own set of requirements to be able to speak and communicate with you.  Some you may clash with, some you have an instant connection that will allow them to succeed in the goals they are striving for.  This is great reinforcement for things that I have forgotten in the past.
