Redirecting a question by asking one student to answer another student's question is a great tool for generating a conversation in the classroom and maintaining a high level of engagement.

 

Doing an assessment of the students' learning styles in the first day of class seems like a great idea. 

 

Integrating audi-visuals in a Math course is quite a challnage given the nature of the contet. Nevertheless, it is worth a shot!

Although synchronous chat is a great substitute for live class interraction, as a teacher, while managining multiple streams, it is very hard to stay on top of the student chat-exchanges.

 

Clearly navigational simplicity via a friendly-user interface is a key component of quality online teaching.

 

Clearly procrastrination is much easier in an online environment than on campus. Developing an appropriate accountability system, through strictly enforced deadlines and penalties for late work, must be incorporated in any teaching strategy.
