I have learned that being present on line teaching is important to the student. To help them feel your presence, to be a real person on line. It is not easy but with a little creativity it is possible. Students love stories of real life experiences in the field. And they want to know we can understand also the difficulties of attending classes in the midst of personal dificulties and how we endured when we attended classes. We have to be real to the student.

Yes module consistency is important to the students. I also teach that consistency at the work site when doing patient

care is extrmely beneficial to a smooth running office.

My Name is Ceilia Munoz. I have been a Medical Assistant Instructor for 11 yrs. I have worked in the Medical field for over 40 year. After working in a surgical office for 29 yrs I decided to give back to the community what i learned all those years in the field. I have a passion to teach and I love my students. It is my passion to put out excellent MA's with integrity and with their own passion for their profession.

I learned that job readiness early on is of major importance. To help the student early on to have a vision and a goal as to where they want to work, the student must review their weaknesses and strengths .  I do talk about my job experiences of over 40 years, I do talk about the very exciting professions and the good days and the bad days. Many graduates often send messages after they have jobs and state how those real life stories helped them in the field.

I learned that it important to help the student feel important and that the instructor really wants them to succeed. I will be more mindful of thsse things and bring to the class perhaps a video of gradutation days from the school to give them a view of the excitement during graduation.

I learned tha mentoring is important to the success of the student. And that there are a variety of ways to mentor students. I plan to ask for volunteers and assign them to do mentoring.

I learned that the more information the prospect student has, and the new student, the more likely they are to succeed.

I intend to apply this knowledge by being active in giving the new student as much information as I can to keep them informed and engaged. Also to help the student feel comfortable about reaching out to me for any questions they may have.
