I've learned the importance of active learning for online and F2F teaching, as students retain more information when they are actively learning vs passive learning being force feed information.

I've learned the importance of being able to determine the types of learners to be able to provide adequate support. 

This module taught me my role while teaching online - understanding the importance and ability to provide educational support as well as technical support. 

Proper planning and preparation are key. Make sure to show up to class before the students arrive to ensure an inviting and well organized environment. Say hello to each student arriving to class with their first name, it makes the student feel welcomed, and creates a good start to the class. 

I have learned the importance of my professionalism and enthusiasm when instructing a class. It is important to model good behavior for career success and encouraging for students to do the same.
