Time management and wokload management are very important to being an effective online teacher.

Make sure to investigate all available technology before implamenting one.

It is important to revise your course to optimize student participation and success.

Make sure to give possitive, clear and meaningful feed back to your students.

It is important to make lessons easy to understand and to increase complexity slowly. Allow student to learn together as much as possible.

Maintain contact with students. Know your institutions policy on online learning and follow those guide lines. maintain control of discussion boards and student interactions.

Stay engaged with students. Answer questions in a timely manner. Allow student to ask questions without revealing their identity to other students. Have students give teacher feed back. 

I need to give my experiance in the area I am teaching to give the student a better comfort level. I also need to maintain control of all aspects of the learning enviroment to insure productive and undistracted learning.

I will need to understand the technoligy being used to answer questions and keep the classes moving forward smoothly and effectively.

Being accessable is very important.
