I have learned that making a good lesson plan starts with what we want our students to learn. In order for our students to appreciate and be engaged in the learning process, the lesson plan must be relevant to them. For me, I pass out a 5-10 questions before the start of a new lesson to determine the knowlegde and interest of my students. Their current job is also very important information for me to start with. I want to know very well what they know. From there I will be able to adjust my lesson plan accordingly.
