Better to be over prepared than not prepared enough

Set clear expectations and listen to the students

Reach out to the students who are the trouble makers to ensure that they know who is in charge and see if you can bring them back to focus

Be a role model and provide reminders about upcoming due dates, etc

Use all learning methods when teaching to ensure that all students can learn

early and careful planning will help greatly in making my instructional efforts rewarding
