making eye contact, floating, pausing after a question, these are all very useful tactics to keep the student engaged
testing not only tracks the students progress but how well youre explaining the material.
checking the skill level and comprehension of the material it is important to administer assessment tests to the students to find out where they are and how well youre teaching the material.

asking questions isnt the only important part, it's how you ask the question or engage people that really matters and keeps the class flowing.
not only should you be adaptive to the different learning styles but incorporating each different style into your lesson is key
