Prepare ahead of time. Dress appropriately, arrive early and greet at the door with a smile. Give them the confidence that they can enjoy the course and learn from it while breaking infamiliarity barriers with them and between them. 

Learned about the optimal process to plan objectives and goals for students and guiding them through a detailed syllabus on a proper course plan to learn.

I learned that professionalism is key but has to be balanced with a personal touch that keeps the engagement of the students and their interest in the class. The ability to adapt to different teaching styles depend on the school, class, material, format and the personal experience.
