Support all students, means all students. CTE needs to be a K-12 purposeful, driven curriculum that impacts and benefits every student.

Both business-level and supervisor orientations are important; needs differ by community partner. Understanding each business's culture helps determine the most effective approach without overburdening employers. 

Key: Be intentional with placement of student and community partner! Make it easy for your partners to say yes to your program. One way we do this is all documentation is done digitally.

Comment on Mike Kelly's post: Training agreements do indeed give clarity and shared accountability to all stakeholders. The intentional skill development is indeed very crucial, along with feedback as formative, which helps students grow through the internship.

The value of Work-Based Learning can be seen with student after student success stories about how it is a career path they will pursue or just as valuable a career they will no move on from. These authentic settings give insight to students not gained from research alone.
