Activity

This module taught me that online instructors play a proactive role in minimizing student attrition by addressing feelings of alienation through personal outreach and offering time management and workload guidance. I intend to apply this by actively monitoring participation and reaching out to less engaged students.

This module taught me that in online learning, feedback needs to be prompt, encouraging, and carefully worded, and that actively asking students for their feedback is essential. I plan to apply this by being timely and thoughtful in my responses and by regularly seeking input.

Projecting my presence online means being visible, communicative, enthusiastic, and respectfully in charge. It's about actively showing up as the guide and making my role clear and supportive.

This module highlighted the necessity of a deep understanding of course delivery. I've learned the importance of clarifying these details upfront to ensure a clear and supportive learning environment for students. Moving forward, I will prioritize gaining a comprehensive understanding of these aspects for every course I teach and communicate them effectively to my students. I also recognize the need to actively manage and participate in online interactions such as the Discussion Boards. I'm interested to hear what others thought of this module.
