Activity

I instruct at a adult lab environment. I usually start with some introductory lecture time and I soon see who are my audio learners and visual learners and even my Hand on leaners. I just have to be creative enough and aware of each of the students while interacting with them. I find this very helpful in delivering knowledge and thus the reward of teaching.

After completing ED203 I didn't realize that in my class we use so much technology. I sort of eased its way into our class room one little bit at a time and now its a great big piece of the proccess. However it has also become quite the distraction too.

This class realy opened my eyes to what's out there to use for teaching. I had no idea so many free thing that could be used.

I did inroll in the "Second Life" but found it to be leaning more towards scocial media than education.

I agree, but until that process is brought to the class room where we as instuctors can communicate using the items of destraction they remain just that. So Im left with gentle reminder that I need their attention.

I teach at an Technical school and have broad range of students from many parts of the country. I find I dificult durring a lecture part of instuctoin to keep the attention of all the students. With Gen Y's texting and viewing. to boomers who apprieciat the excellerated learning style I like to teach with. There are policies in place to impower me to tell those students to put away there phones. But they alway find there way back out. I find it distracting as a speaker.
