It is important to treat businesses that support WBL program as a true partnership and not just expect them to allow students into their business without inviting them to schools. This way stundets know what to expect from the businessa and learn a broader range of skills and the business is able to get to know students and staff.

It is important to complete career aptitude tests and other career/skill evaluations. It is also important to connect with your students in order to have a good idea of what their skills and interests are in order to match them to the most appropirate job site.

it is critical to assist students in developing employability skills.

The two main points I learned in this section is to make the WBL program a contiuum that starts in the younger grades and progress through high school and to focus standards on fitting your school's strengths and needs.

I itend to utizilize the continuum to include younger studnets and to build a strong foundation for skills and knowledge.

Great information! I hadn't thought much about media campaigns. However, I see that this is a big part of WBL program. I also liked that it highlighted getting to know each students current skills set.

I am looking forward to engaging with the "champions," in our community. I also like the idea of creating an advisory comittee this is will be helpful in finding out areas needs in our area and focus areas.

I like that WBL incorporates the community and real life hands on learning opportunities. I beleive this helps with student buy and offers them opportunities to identify possibel career paths.
