I learned that differnet generational groupd are mor comfortable with diverse communication and may repsond to alternate forms of communication negatively. It is important when communicating with online learners to take these difference into accoutn and address each in the way I ommunicate with a class.

 

In order for online communication to be constructive, guidelines must be set and the proper mechanics modelled so tha the students understand what is expected of them not only by rubric but also by example.

 

I was familiar with and had utilized some fo the tools prior to working on this course. I am learning how to best choose what I ascertain to be the right tool for the right job, and also valuable ways to evaluate the effectiveness of th echosen tools

It will take multple evaluation tools to assess whether or not your course is meeting objectives in a successful way. I Plan to use multiple sources of data and both quantitativew and qualitative sources of data to evaluate.

Feedback is essential to not only enrich the learning process, but also to establish a constructive relationship with the students. I plan on giving frequesnt, positive feedback when evaluating appropriate assignments

 

Consistency and good communication help to provide the students a framework in which to scaffold their learning. I will take these factors into account when planning my course syllabus 

 

Overall, consistency and testing is crucial to developing an online course in such a way that sudent learn from, rather than are confused by the course

 

I have learned how critical for an institution and its faculty to adhere to not only reguilatory but also good ethical practices fo rthe benefit of the students. How the school conducts its operation and the way in which it represents itself to potential students can determine not only student success but also the ability for a graduate to meet his or her career goals.

How do you best deal with an institution which is not compliant to regulatory standards?

Our responsibility extends beyond that of meeting regulatory standards. In the long run, it is crucial to our student's academic journey and chances for success.
