I learned the different ways to handle a challenging student. 

Engaging with the students, one on one time, partners/groups can help if a student is struggling. Different ideas from different brains could work or understand better. 

Engaging with the class is key for a successful course. Having your sylbus ready and being prompt. 

Keeping each lesion fun and engaging for students. Demostrating things before class can help you make sure your 100% ready for the in class demo. 

Meeting the class for the first time I would make sure you make the best impression you can. Be fun and motivating, but also respectable. Give a brief description of yourself and then have the students do the same. 

I learned that always being on time and being prompt is very important. Students will value you and your knowledge when the outside appearance is on point. 

I learned first and for most you need to remain professional and put together. Also keep that balance between students that is friendly but not there friend. They need to know your not going to let them side because of a boundary.
