Really tie in the aspect of helping with their future careers into the content.  Celebrate the successes!

Use technology in your classroom.  If you students are engaged and empowered with the content, they won't be as distracted by their phones so it shouldn't be a problem.

Listening to prior knowledge will improve student engagement.  Students want to contribute if they have an experience to share.  Listen - it helps you learn more about them, what they know about the content already, what you should emphasize in content delivery, and most importantly, it helps the student feel heard and important.

This segment was a reminder of how important real life and prior knowledge ties into student learning.  Working with older teens, I focus on career exploration, many of whom want to share what they know from real life in the classroom.  It is important to listen to what they share and use that to further the conversation, curriculum, and engagement.
