Most students today have grown up with such media rich exposure to audio/video/graphics etc. that teachers need to enhance they presentations with software/apps that can present material in interesting/interactive and engaging ways.

Set limits at the start of the lesson to explain what the tablets will be used for that day. This will (help) limit other distracting uses.

Tablets may help some students who struggle with organizational skills by utilizing apps such as one-note or Evernote to organize notes, assignments, presentations, etc. more appropriatly

Tablets without adding value to objectives and learning outcomes are easily just distractions.

Open educational resources continue to grow and provide teachers with resources and tools to enhance their flipped classrooms.

Student "access" to the pre-recorded lecture material is very hard to guarantee. My biggest question would be how much time do you spend  going over what should have been watched at home while other students are eagerly waiting to move on and get more in-depth with the material. I love the idea of a flipped classroom but there are a lot of logistical headaches if you truly are making sure each student has equa accessibilit.

Teachers who have implemented flipped classrooms have seen failure rates decrease and test scores increase

Teachers wanting to integrate a flipped classroom do not need to record all their lectures. Using expert material already created on sites like TED or Khan Academy are acceptable.

A class "wiki" is a great idea for posting our classes videos, podcasts, and news updates. This will allow us to have a more visual collection of our work than a Google drive folder.

Our district started using Schoology this year. It has completely changes the way I teach and organize my classes. Like all new change, I was a little hesitant/ resistan...I love it now. Can't imaging teaching without a capable LMS.
