One important thing I’ve learned about meeting the class for the first time is that the opening moments can set the tone for the entire course. Building rapport early helps create a positive classroom environment where students feel welcomed, respected, and motivated to participate. A strong first impression communicates both confidence and care for the learners.

One of the main things I’ve learned about planning and preparation is that it lays the foundation for effective teaching. Careful planning allows lessons to stay structured, goals to remain clear, and class time to be used efficiently. It also ensures that activities and assessments are aligned with learning outcomes, so students understand not just what they’re learning but why it matters.

For me, the biggest takeaway is the importance of continuous reflection and growth. As an instructor, I want to regularly assess what works well in my classroom and what needs adjustment. I plan to use student feedback and self-reflection after each lesson to make improvements.
