Scaffolding is a critical eight step process achieved through asynchronous discussions and the efforts of the instructor. The syllabus should be dynamic and throughout the course, the instructor should utilize engaging resources throughout. 

Consistency is key! It makes thinks more predictable for the student so they are not left guessing. They can easily navigate the content and the degree of consistency also helps them locate content easier.
