We start off by having an orientation night a week before classes start for new students.In this orientation we only spend about 45min in the classroom with the new students, during this time we dont go over any major expetations we mainly introduce them to staff and give them time to do a meet and greet with staff without all the hustle and bustle of other students.We wait until the first day off classes to go over all expectations.The way our classes run for day students is they have a 9am - 12:30pm class then a 2pm- 5:30 pm class… >>>

This is very important. On our orientation days we spend about 30- 45 minutes with the students in the classroom. In this time we re - introduce all staff members then introduce them to the campus managers. When introductions are done we go over a packet of information they will need for the first day off classes. When that is done we have our instructors set up in a classroom available to answer any questions. On the first day of classes for our students we send the first 3 ½ hours going over our expectations of them as students. At the end of the session we then ask our students what their expectations are of us. I think this is a great tool that we use because we not only start to build relationship with the students, but how can we expect stuff out of them that were not willing to do ourselves.
