Asking the right questions and listening to what happens after that is just as important as the material being presented.

Knowing the different learning styles will help me prepare course material and projects to meet those needs.

Meeting the students and learning about them is just as important as them learning about me and experience in the field.

I like the checklist idea. My semester moves through courses at a rapid rate, and a checklist would ensure I don't miss important topics of each course.
